Use moderate force when extending the sword to prevent it from breaking when you retract it again or getting stuck in the other blade segments
If the sword is difficult to retract, place the tip on the ground and push lightly or gently tap to help it retract smoothly. You can also try to push together 2 blade segments by hand to do it.
